A Path by Sarah Hulme

£8.00

A Path is an innovative sequence of poetry exploring the impact of coastal erosion on the Norfolk coastline through the shifting and unraveling of form and language.

In fluid, fragmenting lines, Hulme examines the fragility of the human mind in the face of climate crisis, and the inexplicable ways our mental health is entangled with the landscapes we live in.

Praise for A Path:

'This is a moving, intimate and innovative pamphlet articulating a poetics of impermanence and loss. It begins with coastal erosion but it follows its subject through - from a fragile, geological space to a delicate lyric space - and in doing so it achieves a striking poetic form for our imperilled times. It is restless and creative in the face of daunting environmental change. The way it brings its precision and intensity under erasure calls to mind Sappho as much as the IPCC.’ - Jos Smith
